Ron Bell Jr. is the Director of Strengthening the Black Church and Congregational Development for the Peninsula-Delaware Conference United Methodist Church.
He works hand in hand with clergy and laity to create programs, form ministries and support visions all for the singular purpose of living out God’s call for the church.
Ron has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with a concentration in pre-law from Morgan State University.
He spent a year in law school at Thomas Cooley School of Law before transitioning to Regent University School of Divinity, where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in practical theology, with a focus in liberation theology. He has spent much of his career living out Luke 4:18 “to preach good news to the poor, proclaim freedom for the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind, release to the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Through this mantle, he has worked with both adult and youth felons, community activist organizations, created his own mentoring organization called Men of Iron and worked diligently to proclaim the name of the Lord.
Ronald is an accomplished musician, guitarist, saxophonist and lover of all things tennis.
In September 2010, Ron married the former Eboni Reavis, who gave birth to their son, Ronald Bell the 3rd on their first wedding anniversary in September 2011; truly, a sign of God’s blessing of their union. He is also supported in his ministry and vision by his parents Rev. Ron Bell Sr., and Dr. Joyce A Bell as well as his two sisters Dorothy Bell-Jackson and Jocelyn E Bell.
His favorite scripture comes from Joshua 1:6 “be strong and of good courage, for you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them.”
